Have you ever decided to try a new recipe, only to have it be a complete failure?
Yeah.
That just happened.
While shopping at Target the other day, Taylor found a FROSTING CREATIONS KIT.
We bought it.
French vanilla cupcakes with white chocolate morsels and white chocolate raspberry frosting was the plan.
My mouth was watering as I envisioned my new creation sweeping across Pinterest.
I was going to be cupcake famous.
And then we made the frosting.
I can't describe the torture that my tongue endured after just a small sampling.
Poison, maybe?
Yes.
Poison.
I do not condone making this frosting.
I do condone adding lots of white chocolate to your vanilla cupcake batter, though.
My favorite non-poison.
Above: Warner enjoying some raw non-poison.
Don't let it's looks deceive you.
Don't pin this.
Don't make this.
Don't eat this.
Please warn the others.
;)
Happy Thursday.

Ha! Great post to start off my morning! (I giggled through the whole thing!) - I had a cupcake disaster of my own last week involving carrot cake! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Most food related blog posts (mine included) are about how fabulous the dish was:)

Kimmie you are hilarious. Just a warning to everyone out that to NOT pin your post to make cupcakes because they are poison. too too funny.
ReplyDeleteSo funny Kimmie! I made a cookie recipe I found on Pinterest using strawberry cake mix and I was SO excited to make it! I went to 3 stores just to find the strawberry cake mix (I thought it was common?!) and they turned out AWFUL! Like SO sickeningly sweet and disgusting. I almost cried. Ha!
ReplyDeletehaha I almost bought that yesterday! I thought it was an amazing idea, too bad they didn't deliver!
ReplyDeleteI have no personal experience, but one of my best baking buddies tried a few of those flavor packets and she said they were all nasty! Too bad for Duncan Hines... it was a great idea (in theory!).
ReplyDeletewhite chocolate in the vanilla cupcakes is brilliant.
