Kimmie is a twenty-something babywearing mother of three awesome kids. She is married to a Desi Arnaz look-alike whom supports her Lucille Ball tendencies. Together they reside in Orange County, California.
Around here, she keeps things candid and often writes about love, loss, and the pursuit of happiness. The name of this blog stems from her love of all things sugary sweet, and all things polkadot.
In posts prior to mid-2012, she refers to her husband as "Hubby", her daughter as "The Girl", and her son as "The Boy". She finally got the guts to blog without fear, and you will now read about her husband Sedric, her daughter Taylor, and her sons Warner and Franklin (Baby Franky).
She enjoys all things crafty, wearing flip flops 365 days per year, elephants of all sizes, talking about herself in third-person, reading, thrifting, and baking. Her love of vintage finds started as a child, and she loathes spending money on anything brand new.
Kimmie believes in God. She believes in kindness. She believes in second chances and happily ever after.
She was the PTA President at her daughter's school last year, and was "room mom" for both kids' classrooms. She stepped down from those positions after her new baby arrived in July 2012, and she is loving the extra time with her family. She attends college full-time taking online courses, and she may go to school forever just to continue learning. She works part-time for the family business, and spends her free time creating and day dreaming.
She loves snail mail and face-to-face conversations. She is sassy yet sensitive. She always gets what she wants, but never the way she expected it. In fact, the unexpected is quite common. Sometimes she blogs with a purpose, and sometimes she is totally random; either way, there is usually a hint of sarcasm in her posts. You can see what she is all about by reading her blog, but she would love to get to know you in return. You can say hi to her here:
